Summary

The Middle Fork Satsop River begins in the foothills of the Olympics and flows 35 miles downstream into the East Fork Satsop River. The Middle Fork Satsop River is primarily surrounded by second growth timber company land. The Middle Fork is one of the three forks flowing into the main stem, Satsop River, which then flows into the Chehalis River. All forks of the river are longer than the main stem.

Native Species


Threats:

High Density of roads in the area for logging, which increases erosion and sedimentation in the river, and high rate of rainfall increases destructive erosion.
