Dakota Shy Dream Stay

3 nights, 4 couples
VIP tour and wine tastings

Produced in small quantities and artfully crafted to reflect the place itself, Dakota Shy wines are bolstering Napa Valley's reputation for producing the finest Cabernet Sauvignon in the world.

This year at the NFS Homewaters Banquet & Auction, you have a chance to drink in their vineyard views while you drink up a glass of cab that Wine Spectator named one of the best 100 wines in the world in 2014.

The winning bid for the Dakota Shy Dream Stay buys three nights for four couples at the Dakota Shy estate home and guest house. Situated at the base of Pritchard Hill, near St. Helena, California, the residences are kept in the French provincial style in honor of the estate’s original owner, Charles de Limur. There are four master suites, each with a private bath, as well as a gourmet kitchen and formal dining room with seating for 12. Outside, set conveniently between the estate home and the guest house, is a heated swimming pool. Beyond the pool is an enclosed gazebo, complete with fireplace and outdoor kitchen.

The surrounding acreage is planted with six acres of cabernet, as well as citrus and olive groves. Old redwoods and magnolias dot the landscape, deepening the estate’s ties to the Napa Valley soil and California’s heritage.

In addition to a three nights at the estate and access to all its charming amenities, your stay will include private tours of the vineyard and winery, as well as tastings of Dakota Shy’s world-class cabernets. But maybe the best part of the Dream Stay is a less-tangible quality. Dakota Shy Founder Todd Newman, who generously donated this new auction item, put it best when he said “there is so much soul here you can’t help but be moved."
